 Guide

Thunder Junction is a park dedicated to providing a playground experience for people of all ages and abilities.  Built with donations of time and money from the entire community, this park has something for everyone.

The park has been designed from the ground up to take special needs and different abilities into consideration.  This includes soft padded floors, which are more wheelchair friendly than wood chips or gravel.  Ramps and wheelchair-height playground equipment help round this out as the most accessible park in the region.

The dinosaur-themed park includes 30 foot high volcano which spews out smoke, with a large area underneath that is ideal for birthday parties or other gatherings.  The ramp up into the treehouse starts inside the volcano as well.

The train is one of the central features - a 1/4 replica locomotive winds through 2700 feet of track in the park.  It goes over bridges and through tunnels and over railroad crossings.

The playhouse is another central fun feature.  Two stories high, it is accessible by ramp from within the volcano, and has slides and stairs to help get out with as much fun as possible.
